1. Where are you from?

Zach: St. Petersburg, FL
Allie: Memphis, TN

2. How long have you been climbing?

Both: About five months.

3. What do you love most about rock climbing?

Both: We love the variety. There’s something for everyone in climbing. When (and if) you get tired of a certain style of climbing, you can transfer those skills to another style of climbing. Time is never wasted, whether you’re training, conquering routes, or failing, there is always a physical and mental barrier to overcome.

4. Other than climbing, what are your hobbies and interests?
Both: Skydiving, Traveling, Caving, Cliff Diving, Kayaking, Hiking, Biking, Trail Running, Motorcycling, Fitness & Nutrition.
5. Do you have a spirit animal? If so, what is it and why?
Zach: Lion. Lions rule. Plus my last name means “lion”, so there’s that.
Allie: With so many possibilities, I’m going to go with a bottlenose dolphin. Why? Well, they are highly intelligent, social creatures. They always have a “smile” on their face and “talk” to each other a lot. Dolphins love living in warm climates, being the center of attention and venturing into new waters!
6. Sir Edmund HIllary or Tanzig Norgay? Please defend.
Both: Although both men have been named part of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century, Tenzig stands out. He dedicated his entire life to Everest and accompanied expedition teams for more than twenty years, starting at only 19 years old.  His dedication and passion from such a young age really hits home with me. He set his goals and dreams higher than anyone thought possible, and with many failed attempts, he made those dreams come true. He never gave up. I can’t imagine how physically and mentally draining his training, attempts and eventual success must have been. If that isn’t inspirational, I don’t know what is.
7. What is the name of your autobiography?
Zach: “Zach: A Lion’s Tail”
Allie: “Never have I ever…oh wait, yes I have”

8. Do you prefer the smell of fresh cut grass or burning leaves? Please explain.
Zach: Burning leaves. Lion’s don’t have lawn-mowers.
Allie: Burning leaves. I have allergies. Also, burning leaves reminds me of autumn, my favorite season. Being from TN, I have always loved a good bonfire when it starts to cool down!
9. Are you on instagram, twitter, etc.? If so, how can people find you?
