Routesetting News – Sept 5-12

Our goal is to keep the people who visit us most up to date on our routesetting schedule. Each issue of Member News will have our routesetting schedule for the next two weeks so you know if your project is coming down and know what might have gone up since your last visit.

Going Up:
Last week we set 42 new boulder problems for the Back to School Bash. The problems range in difficulty from easy (Rec) to very, very difficult (Open). A few of the problems on the Advanced/Open end of the spectrum are still waiting for their first send. The week before the comp, new top rope routes went up on ropes 24-26. These 6 routes have difficulty ratings of 5.6, 5.8+, 5.9, 5.10, 5.10d, and 5.11.

Coming Down:
We’ll be dropping and resetting the routes on ropes 14, 14.5 and 15 on September 5. These routes range in difficulty from 5.7-5.12a. The week of September 12 will see routes on ropes 16-18 come down.

In addition to updates in the newsletter, we’ve started marking routes and boulder problems that will be coming down the following week. If you see a piece of red tape with a date written on it across the start hold of a route or problem, enjoy it or send it while you can, it’s coming down on that date.
