Knowing where the middle of your rope is is always handy knowledge. If you are in the market for a new rope, or have one you’ve been using for a while, having a way to find the center point of your rope is a great tool. Black Diamond published an article on marking your rope in order to find the middle point. You can find the article here. While they aren’t making ropes like Petzl, their findings are interesting and their recommendation is one to take to heart.
