We’ve got more Setter Sessions on the calendar! Step into the minds of our Crag route setters and learn all about what goes into setting boulder routes! Learn the fundamentals of setting and even put up your own route for your fellow climbers to try. Who knows, while setting a path up the wall you could find yourself setting a new path in your career 🤷‍♂️

Every Monday we’ll be hosting 30min Mini Clinics

Every Monday we’ll be hosting 30min Mini Clinics at our Nashville location geared toward instructing climbers on the basics of bouldering and rope climbing! These clinics are set up to help new climbers feel comfortable on the wall and to provide the tools that will help create a solid foundation for gym climbing!

Climbing is for everybody and it’s a great sport

Climbing is for everybody and it’s a great sport for the little ones! We sat down with Ellen Ives to hear about her 3.5yr old daughter, Maeve’s experience learning how to climb in our Wee Rock program!

“The Wee Rock program has been awesome! She’s really mastered the coming up and going down by herself on the auto belay and she really loves coach Elizabeth who’s been a big help with motivating her to do a lot of new things. She came yesterday in addition to class because she likes it now.

I think the coaches are awesome. All of the staff has been great. I also love how everybody she’s worked with has such a positive attitude and has encouraged her to try new things and to keep going instead of just bouncing down whenever she was having a hard time.

I think we’re going to just get her a membership next and keep bringing her here because she loves it so much. She just told us she wants to have her birthday party here.. which is not till April” - Ellen

Merry Christmas Eve!! We hope you all have an absolutely amazing holiday this year. Santa came by the gym the other day to pick up a new Petzl Grigri and some fresh Scarpa’s so that he can safely climb down your chimney’s tonight! 🤪

Winter Break Camp is coming up! This 3 day session

Winter Break Camp is coming up! This 3 day session will teach your young climber about safety, terminology, and technique through climbing games and creating thoughtful rock climbing themed crafts. Camp is January 1st - 3rd in both Franklin and in Nashville. Much better than a jungle gym 😜

We just put up a Spray Wall in our Franklin gym!! For those of you who are new to Spray Walls, don’t be intimidated! This chaotic smattering of colorful rocks is set up to help make you all better climbers. Ask any pro climber what they train on most in the gym and they’ll tell you the Spray Wall is the key.

Download the “Boulder Book” app and find “The Crag Franklin” to get started. You’ll see routes appear that have been designed by our setters and even some of your fellow gym members. You can make your own routes to push yourself in areas you need to train more in, free climb to build strength or pick graded climbs that have been pre set! The angle of the wall is designed to make you stronger no matter how you approach your session.

Also!! Fun fact! Most of the holds on the Spray Wall are from the original Franklin Crag 🥰
